🍃Autumn Shows + Recording🍂

Dear lovers of organized sound, I am writing to alert you to two upcoming NYC shows as we approach the autumnal season. Get your mulling spices ready- it is almost time to quietly rock and roll!

First up is a fundraiser for the experimental music space Roulette on October 1. We’ll be performing accompanied by the Wordless Orchestra string quartet and sharing an unbelievable bill with David Longstreth (of Dirty Projectors), Haley Fohr (of Circuit des Yeux), and Mal Devisa. 

This hasn't been officially announced yet but on November 6th we’ll be playing at Union Pool supporting Wilder Maker, a band led by Gabriel Birnbaum who has been a co-producer and a live collaborator on the most recent and unreleased mb records. It will be their album release and will surely be good fun. There isn’t a poster for it yet but here is a picture of a beloved vine that started growing into my bedroom.

Speaking of Gabe, he took some photos of the time we spent in the studio last month recording the next LP. Felix Walworth (of Told Slant / Florist) pulled double duty on engineering and drumming alongside a talented and disarming crew of old friends to get the new songs down onto tape.

I’ve been listening to the new Lambchop record, Punching the Clown and Nighttime’s great new album Looking Glass. But mostly I’m getting used to attending school for the first time in twenty years, studying music composition and having my time obliterated by homework.
